Good Neighbours Active Living Centre is proud to support older adults in the community to adapt to their changing needs. We understand that aging people require services, and have more health concerns than they did before, and require opportunities for socialization as they spend less time in the community . In order to encourage healthy longevity and a more fluid understanding of the supports that exist for older adults, Good Neighbours offers the following services:
Providing information and resources to older adults in the Elmwood/ East Kildonan area. Offering activities and outings throughout the year.
Supports to Seniors is a free and confidential outreach program, funded by WRHA, that serves individuals residing in 210/220 Oakland Avenue and 1080/1100 Henderson Highway.
Our goal is to enhance all aspects of an individual's wellbeing and independence through addressing their Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), family dynamics, community living, intervention and prevention measures, and referral and navigation of resources available. We provide a variety of programs and educational opportunities.
Together with our vast network, we tackle isolation and loneliness. Sometimes we are simply a friendly face and safe space.
River East Seniors Resource Finder is a non-profit organization that is partially funded by the WRHA. It provides support and services to older adults living in the River East community Call 204-667-6812.

Enjoy a delicious home cooked meal at our two Meal Programs, 1100 Henderson Hwy. & 1630 Henderson Hwy.

Caring volunteers send cards to members in need and make follow-up phone calls. Contact the Centre if you know of a member who is ill or has been bereaved.
